Six Team Celebration Redemption

On the heels of the ultra-successful Maple Leaf
Forever series offered at the 2007 Spring Expo,
In The Game has developed an exciting sequel
that is sure to be a smash hit once again!
Six Team Celebration is a tribute to what many
fans consider to be the greatest franchises
in the history of the game. The NHL was a six-team
loop from 1942-43 to 1966-67 and these 25 seasons
saw Stanley Cup runs by the Toronto Maple Leafs
in the 1940s and 1960s, the incredible run of
league titles by the Detroit Red Wings, the
rise of the Chicago Blackhawks into a powerhouse,
glimpses of brilliance from the Boston Bruins
and New York Rangers along with the sheer dominance
of the Montréal Canadiens that will never
be paralleled.
Since that time, all of those clubs have had
varying degrees of success and fan loyalty remains
high. A multitude of memorable players have
skated for these clubs over the past 40 years
and some of them will also be included in this
set.
In The Game is respected among hobbyists for
the lengths the company has gone to acquire
pieces of vintage game-used memorabilia for
their cards. The lineup for this set is absolutely
stellar and each of the classic franchises is
well represented. Limited to just 25 copies
each, they are sure to be a hot item at the
Expo!
There are two ways to obtain these cards: collectors
can open three boxes of 2007-08 O Canada and
receive two cards or they can open one pack
of the Ultimate Memorabilia 7th Edition and
receive one card.
The 30-card Six Team Celebration Exclusive
Game-Used Memorabilia card final checklist will
be announced at the Fall Expo but will include:
Maurice Richard, Dave Keon, Ed Giacomin, Ted
Lindsay, Gerry Cheevers and Glenn Hall.
Upper Deck Priority Signings Hockey
Card Wrapper Redemption Program Details:
Upper Deck will display new trading card and
collectible products at their booth. They will
also have interactive elements as well. A daily
raffle is planned at the Upper Deck booth for
one NHL All-Star Vinyl collectible figurines
and one for a recent higher end NHL trading
card product. The company also has plans for
a variety of giveaways during the course of
each day consisting of Upper Deck NHL trading
cards, t-shirts, carabineers and backpacks.
The most exciting program is the semi-annual
hockey card wrapper redemption program where
collectors who open a box of the 07/08 NHL Fleer
Ultra, 07/08 NHL Artifacts or the 07/08 NHL
Upper Deck Series 1 at the Upper Deck booth
will receive a random NHL autograph card. This
rare autograph set, called Priority Signings,
is constantly a favorite with show attendees
and it includes some of the greatest names in
hockey with players like Sidney Crosby, Wayne
Gretzky and Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe. This promotion
will only be available while supplies last each
day.

"This show is really important to us as
it is basically our chance to say thank you
to the collectors who have supported our products
year in and year out,” said Karvin Cheung,
Upper Deck Product Manager for Hockey. “We
spend a lot of money putting this Priority Signing
set together and by distributing so many free
items, but it’s worth it to us because
it helps collectors see how much we appreciate
their loyalty to our products."
