Upper Deck, currently
the only hockey card manufacturer licensed by
the NHL and NHLPA, has announced an exciting
hockey card wrapper redemption program for the
2006 2007 NHL season. Wrappers from this years
Upper Deck and Fleer brand hockey cards can
be redeemed for cards from the exclusive NHL
Biography of a Season hockey set.

Biography of a Season Hockey Cards
15 unique hockey cards make up the “Biography
of a Season” set. These hockey cards are
based on special events and hockey player highlights
from the 2006-2007 NHL season.
The cards will highlight some of the greatest
moments of the NHL season and will feature titles
like, “Opening Night”, “NHL
All-Star Weekend”, “the Playoffs”,
and “the Stanley Cup Finals”.
The Biography of a Season set is generating
excitement among hockey card collectors in the
hobby. Upper Deck senior sports marketing manager
Kerri Stockholm said, “This is a great
way for Upper Deck to start the NHL season and
thank hockey fans for supporting our brands
through the years by rewarding them with a special
card set highlighting the most memorable moments
of the season.”
How To Get Hockey Cards From The Biography
of a Season Set
In September 2006 Upper Deck announced it has
made arrangements with approximately 200 sports
cards stores that will act as redemption centers
for some of its redemption cards.
The Biography of a Season cards can be redeemed
through any of these sports card hobby stores
located across Canada and the USA. Hockey card
collectors must exchange five wrappers from
any 2006-07 Upper Deck or Fleer brand of hockey
card products for one Biography of a Season
hockey card. Some of the hockey products that
qualify are Victory, Ultra, Flair Showcase,
Be A Player Portraits, Power Play, Fleer, Artifacts,
Upper Deck Series 1, Mini Jersey Collection,
Black Diamond, MVP, Trilogy, and SPx.
According to Kerri Stockholm, collectors can
redeem hockey card wrappers starting November
10. Select hockey cards from the set will be
released on the 1st and 15th of each month up
to June 2007. The quantity made available to
each hobby store will be based on sales volume
for NHL hockey card brands and products distributed
by the retailer.
